Farmer's Market Saturday September 28th RAIN OR SHINE!

We will be at the Leavenworth Farmer's Market tomorrow RAIN or shine (probably rain) from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

We'll be bringing our Honey Millet Bread and Cinnamon Swirl Bread, plus our new and improved Chocolate Chip Cookies!

Stop by to try our absolutely amazing Chocolate Chip Cookies. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. You will not believe they're gluten and dairy free! We have tweaked this recipe and hit it right out of the ballpark! I'm not kidding, my testers gobbled up the first batch so fast that we didn't get to take any pictures! I'll get those pictures tonight, but they won't get posted for a little while.

Farmer's Market Wednesday Sept. 25th from 3 to 6 p.m.

Honey Millet Bread -- gluten and dairy free

Good morning! Today is the LAST WEDNESDAY Farmer's Market for this year. We will continue to be at the Leavenworth Farmer's Market on Saturdays through the end of October ... so you can still get your bread fix. This Saturday will still be 7 to 11 a.m., but beginning October 5th the market hours will change to 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Today we are bringing Honey Millet Bread, Cinnamon Swirl Bread, and Chocolate Chip Cookies (all gluten and dairy free, of course).

Last Saturday, with the Post garage sale, attendance was down and we had an extra five loaves of Cinnamon Swirl Bread which we immediately froze. If you would be interested in a frozen bread loaf at a reduced rate ($5) please call us (913 683 1422) and we can bring some with us to the market. The frozen bread thaws well, and still makes wonderful French Toast or French Toast Casserole.

Good morning! We are bringing our yummy Cinnamon Swirl Bread to Market today, along with Honey Millet Bread, and Chocolate Chip Cookies. All, of course, are gluten and dairy free!

Saturday's Farmer's Market was a great success, and we will be there every Saturday (7 to 11 a.m.) from now through the end of October when it finally closes for the season. We've had so many requests that we'll continue baking all winter, most likely on Fridays, so you can continue to get our fresh breads in time for the weekend. Stay tuned for further details.

SATURDAY (September 14th) Farmer's Market! From 7 to 11 a.m.

We got in! To the Saturday Farmer's Market that is. We will be there this Saturday from 7 to 11 a.m. We will be at all the Saturday Farmer's Markets through the end of October (when the Market ends for the season), as well as Wednesdays. Can you believe there are only two more Wednesday markets?

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, we'll be there with our Honey Millet Bread (great for sandwiches or toast), Cinnamon Swirl Bread (we tend to sell out of this early -- it's sooo yummy), Chocolate Chip Cookies (by the half dozen), and Vanilla Cupcakes with Chocolate "Buttercream" Frosting. Of course, everything we are bringing is Gluten Free and Dairy Free!

We can also do special orders -- cupcakes and cookies -- for special occasions. Talk to us if you're interested.

Farmer's Market Wednesday September 11 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Good morning! School is back in session so the Wednesday Farmer's Market traffic has slowed waaay down. There's still lots of yummy veggies and, of course, our gluten-free dairy-free baked goods for sale.

With the slow down we are bringing a smaller variety of items for sale. Today we will have Honey Millet Bread, Cinnamon Swirl Bread, and our best-selling Chocolate Chip Cookies. Stop by for FREE samples!

We will find out today if we can get into this Saturday's Farmer's Market -- it's Second Saturday, which means the Farmer's Market has to share space with the Flea Market, so space is at a premium. Regardless of what happens this weekend, we've been told we can get a Saturday space beginning September 21st and going through the end of October! We have already learned that we will be able to get both a Wednesday and a Saturday space next year (May through October 2014).

Our goal is to eventually open a brick-and-mortar bakery and cafe (hoping by November 2014), so we have to keep building our business all year long. We dream of a gluten and dairy free place to eat here in the Leavenworth/Lansing community. We have many more yummy recipes to share, but not enough time and oven space to bring them to the Farmer's Market. Over the winter we will continue to work on our Artisan French Bread, cake decorating skills, and many more cookie recipes. Brownies anyone?

If you are can't live without our breads (and cookies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes) over the fall and winter months when the Farmer's Market is closed, we are planning to continue baking once a week. We'll set up a mailing list (we won't sell your info) and keep in touch.

Farmer's Market Wednesday September 4th

Honey Millet Bread (gluten and dairy free)
Good morning! We'll be at the Leavenworth Farmer's Market today from 3 to 6 p.m. (or until we run out of goodies, whichever comes first!).

Fresh from the oven today we're bringing Honey Millet Bread, Cinnamon Swirl Bread, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cinnamon Rolls, and Vanilla Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting. Everything is gluten free, dairy free, and totally yummy!

We recently made the switch from almond milk to coconut milk to accommodate people with tree nut allergies (coconut allergies are extremely rare, and it works better in baking than rice milk). We were using almond milk in the glaze on the Cinnamon Rolls, but it is now tree nut free, as our other baked goods have been all along. (The ingredients page has not yet been updated with the new information, that's on my to-do list.)

A number of people have asked us about selling at the Saturday market. We hope to get a space on Saturdays beginning September 14th through the end of October when the market closes. We'll keep you updated once we find out for sure. We are planning to do both Saturday and Wednesday next year.
